The Before-the-Audition Workshop
or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Audition
Select Weeknights, 7 - 10 pm

It's great to know what to do in the audition room, but that does you no good if you don't know how to prepare before the audition. Why? Because every audition tip ever is secondary to this one truth: if you want to book, you have to be good. And if you want to be good, you have to own the role and have fun.
It’s easy enough to say, but how do you do it? Confidence and presence aren’t actions; they are results. They cannot be conjured from thin air, but must be earned through focused and deliberate practice. That’s what this workshop teaches: Practicable, repeatable habits that you can employ from the moments you first lay eyes on a script. Skills that will deepen your best instincts, call forth your personal connections, and let you have a hell of a good time doing what you love. We’ll take film and commercial scenes though the phases of preparation:
It’s not about finding out what they want – it’s about finding you who you are, and all that you can be. |
